The Chakra System: A Soul-Centered View

I was having a conversation with a friend the other day and we were talking about something that comes up a lot with us- shifting energetic patterns. We have a tendency to work on similar energetic patterns at the same time, so it’s always fun to get together and work through things together. We were tracing the energy of the pattern as it relates to the solar plexus and when we paused, he said something like: well that’s great, but I still don’t really know what the solar plexus does. That conversation has inspired a series on Chakras.

Most of us have heard of the chakras: colorful spinning wheels of dynamic energy. Many of us have a basic understanding of what they do or how they work, or can intuitively track energetic experiences in different parts of our body.

Each chakra is a station of consciousness, a gateway through which your soul expresses itself

into form. When viewed through a spiritual lens, the chakras reveal your inner architecture: how you relate to life, how energy flows through you, and how you meet the world.

From root to crown and into the upper column, the chakras guide the journey of incarnation, healing, and awakening.

They’re not just personal energy centers, they’re part of the evolutionary blueprint of humanity. Each one holds lessons, initiations, and opportunities for integration. When we understand them this way, our healing becomes more than symptom relief. It becomes soul growth.

I often see the chakras as portals. They are alive, responsive, and intelligent. They show us where we’re holding, where we’re ready to expand, and what our system is integrating at any given moment.

And they shift. The state of our centers (chakras) reflects lived experience and energetic states. You may notice some feel more open or active at certain times, while others ask for attention or rest.

Working with your chakra system is about presence. Listening. Trusting the intelligence of your system to guide you into deeper alignment.

I invite you to take a few minutes to sit quietly and place your hand on your heart or anywhere that feels grounding.

Breathe slowly and ask yourself:

  • Which chakra is calling for attention today?

  • What might it want you to know, release, or receive?

  • Can you stay present with whatever arises, without needing to fix it?

You may not get a mental answer, and that’s okay. You’re building a relationship. Trust the subtle language of your body and soul.

In the coming weeks, I’ll share more posts that explore the chakras one by one.

If you have questions, themes you'd like me to explore, or chakra experiences to share, I’d love to hear them.

You can reply, reach out, or simply hold the intention and trust the conversation will continue in the way it needs to.

Love,

Leena
